Zúrich es consistentemente clasificada como una de las ciudades más seguras del mundo. La criminalidad es extremadamente baja y los turistas pueden moverse con total libertad a cualquier hora del día o la noche.
2 días son suficientes para el casco antiguo (Altstadt), la orilla del lago, la calle Bahnhofstrasse, los museos principales y el barrio de Zurich West. Con más tiempo puedes hacer excursiones al Rhin o a la zona de esquí cercana.
Junio–agosto son ideales para el lago y las actividades al aire libre. Diciembre es mágico con el mercado navideño del Niederdorf. La primavera y el otoño ofrecen clima agradable y menos turistas.
El tranvía, metro, tren y autobús forman una red excelente. El ZVV Pass para turistas ofrece viajes ilimitados. El lago y el río Limmat son accesibles en barco. El aeropuerto está a 12 minutos en tren del centro.
El casco antiguo con las iglesias Grossmünster y Fraumünster (con vidrieras de Chagall), el Kunsthaus (museo de arte), el lago de Zúrich, la calle Bahnhofstrasse y el barrio hipster de Zurich West son imprescindibles.
