Zurich est régulièrement classée comme l'une des villes les plus sûres au monde. La criminalité est extrêmement faible et les touristes peuvent se déplacer librement à toute heure du jour comme de la nuit.
2 jours suffisent pour la vieille ville (Altstadt), les rives du lac, la Bahnhofstrasse, les principaux musées et le quartier de Zurich West. Avec plus de temps, faites des excursions sur le Rhin ou dans les stations de ski proches.
Juin–août sont idéaux pour le lac et les activités de plein air. Décembre est magique avec le marché de Noël du Niederdorf. Le printemps et l'automne offrent un climat agréable et moins de touristes.
Le tramway, le métro, le train et le bus forment un excellent réseau. Le ZVV Pass touristique offre des trajets illimités. Le lac et la rivière Limmat sont accessibles en bateau. L'aéroport est à 12 minutes en train du centre.
La vieille ville avec le Grossmünster et le Fraumünster (avec les vitraux de Chagall), le Kunsthaus (musée d'art), le lac de Zurich, la Bahnhofstrasse et le quartier branché de Zurich West sont incontournables.
