Lucerna es extremadamente segura para los turistas. Es una ciudad tranquila y ordenada con criminalidad prácticamente inexistente. El casco antiguo, el Puente de la Capilla, las orillas del lago y todas las atracciones son completamente seguros en todo momento.
1–2 días son suficientes para el casco antiguo con el Puente de la Capilla, el lago de los Cuatro Cantones, el León de Lucerna y el barrio histórico. Con más tiempo puedes subir al monte Pilatus o Rigi, o hacer excursiones al lago a los Alpes suizos.
Junio–septiembre es ideal para las vistas alpinas, las excursiones en barco por el lago y el senderismo. El invierno (diciembre–febrero) es mágico con los mercados navideños y la posibilidad de esquiar en los Alpes cercanos. La primavera y el otoño también son encantadores.
La excursión al monte Pilatus es imprescindible. Hay dos opciones: subir en el tren cremallera más empinado del mundo desde Alpnachstad (abajo) y bajar en góndola y telecabina hasta Kriens, o viceversa. El recorrido circular completo tarda medio día desde Lucerna.
El Puente de la Capilla (Kapellbrücke) con la Torre del Agua, el León de Lucerna (escultura en roca), el lago de los Cuatro Cantones, el casco antiguo medieval, el Monte Pilatus y una excursión en barco por el lago son imprescindibles.
Sí, Lucerna está a solo 50 minutos en tren directo desde Zúrich. Es un destino perfecto para una excursión de un día. Sin embargo, si tienes tiempo, quedarte una noche te permite disfrutar del encanto de la ciudad por la tarde cuando los turistas de día ya se han ido.
