Lucerna è estremamente sicura per i turisti. È una città tranquilla e ordinata con criminalità praticamente inesistente. Il centro storico, il Ponte della Cappella, le rive del lago e tutte le attrazioni sono completamente sicuri in ogni momento.
1–2 giorni sono sufficienti per il centro storico con il Ponte della Cappella, il lago dei Quattro Cantoni, il Leone di Lucerna e il quartiere storico. Con più tempo puoi salire sul Monte Pilato o Rigi, o fare escursioni sul lago verso le Alpi svizzere.
Giugno–settembre è ideale per le viste alpine, le escursioni in barca sul lago e il trekking. L'inverno (dicembre–febbraio) è magico con i mercatini di Natale e la possibilità di sciare nelle Alpi vicine. La primavera e l'autunno sono anch'essi incantevoli.
L'escursione al Monte Pilato è imperdibile. Ci sono due opzioni: salire con la cremagliera più ripida del mondo da Alpnachstad (in basso) e scendere in gondola e telecabina fino a Kriens, o viceversa. Il percorso circolare completo dura mezza giornata da Lucerna.
Il Ponte della Cappella (Kapellbrücke) con la Torre dell'Acqua, il Leone di Lucerna (scultura nella roccia), il lago dei Quattro Cantoni, il centro storico medievale, il Monte Pilato e una gita in barca sul lago sono imperdibili.
Sì, Lucerna dista solo 50 minuti in treno diretto da Zurigo. È una destinazione perfetta per una gita di un giorno. Tuttavia, se hai tempo, fermarsi una notte ti permette di godere del fascino della città la sera, quando i turisti giornalieri se ne sono già andati.
