Basilea es extremadamente segura para los turistas. Es una ciudad tranquila y ordenada con criminalidad muy baja. El casco antiguo, el barrio de museos y todas las orillas del Rin son seguros en todo momento.
1–2 días son suficientes para ver el centro histórico, el Kunstmuseum (uno de los mejores del mundo), la Catedral de Basilea, el Ayuntamiento rojo y pasear por las orillas del Rin.
Basilea es mundialmente conocida por Art Basel (la feria de arte contemporáneo más importante del mundo, cada junio) y por albergar más de 40 museos. También es sede de empresas farmacéuticas globales y tiene una arquitectura contemporánea excepcional.
El tranvía y el autobús cubren toda la ciudad eficientemente. El centro histórico es muy caminable. Basilea tiene un sistema de préstamo de bicicletas gratuitas muy popular. Desde la estación SFFV puedes llegar en trenes directos a Zúrich, Berna o Francia/Alemania.
El Kunstmuseum Basel (colección permanente excepcional), la Catedral de Münster, el Rathaus (Ayuntamiento rojo), el casco antiguo, el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo y un baño en el Rin en verano son imprescindibles.
Absolutamente. Basilea y Zúrich son muy diferentes: Basilea es más íntima, con una escena cultural y artística extraordinaria. Está a solo 1 hora en tren de Zúrich. Perfecta para combinar con Berna o como puerta de entrada a Alsacia francesa.
