2–3 days covers the Old Town, city walls, cable car, and beaches. Add a day for Lokrum Island or a day trip to Montenegro or Mostar.
Pricier than most Croatian cities but still reasonable by European standards. Budget €70–120/day. Old Town restaurants charge a premium — eat in Gruž or Lapad for better value.
Fort Lovrijenac (Red Keep), Minčeta Tower (House of the Undying), Trsteno Arboretum (Tyrell Gardens), and the Jesuit Stairs (Walk of Shame). Guided tours are widely available.
The Old Town is car-free and walkable. Libertas buses connect Lapad, Gruž, and the Old Town. Ferries go to Lokrum and the Elaphiti Islands. Cable car for panoramic views.
It can be in peak summer, especially when cruise ships dock. Visit early morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds. Stay overnight — the Old Town is magical after day-trippers leave.
