La Zona Hotelera di Cancún è molto sicura per i turisti con un'alta presenza della polizia. Il centro città (Ciudad Cancún) richiede più prudenza. Segui i consigli del tuo hotel, evita zone sconosciute di notte e usa taxi autorizzati.
5–7 giorni sono ideali: 2–3 giorni a Cancún e le sue spiagge, 1 giorno a Chichén Itzá, 1 giorno a Tulum (rovine maya e cenote), 1 giorno a Playa del Carmen e un giorno per lo snorkeling nella barriera corallina o un'escursione a Isla Mujeres.
