Vlogger Tip
The Old Town is magical but walk 10 minutes to Kalamaja for the real Tallinn — vintage shops, craft coffee, and locals who actually live here. Get a Tallinn Card for free museum entry.

FAQ
2–3 days is perfect. The UNESCO Old Town takes a full day. Add Kadriorg Park, Telliskivi Creative City, and Kalamaja neighbourhood for a complete experience.
Absolutely. It's one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe. Cobblestone streets, church spires, Toompea viewpoints — it feels like walking into a fairy tale.
Very affordable by European standards. Lunch €8–12, beer €3–5, Old Town restaurant dinner €15–25. Hotels from €50/night. One of Europe's best value destinations.
Tallink or Eckerö Line ferries take 2 hours (€15–30). Multiple daily sailings. The port is walking distance from Old Town. A very popular day trip in both directions.
Black bread, blood sausage (verivorst), Baltic herring, elk stew, and kama (traditional Estonian dessert). Try Rataskaevu 16 for local favourites or Olde Hansa for medieval dining.
Very safe. The Old Town is well-lit and patrolled. Standard precautions for pickpockets in tourist areas. Estonians are reserved but helpful.
